MEP Engineer

Job Description

Project Legal Matters: Work and coordinate with relevant authorities to obtain necessary permits related to MEP works (electricity, fire protection, environment & natural resources, Department of Construction, Ministry of Construction, etc.) and complete acceptance procedures with authorities.

Design Management (Mechanical part of MEP: HVAC, water supply & drainage, fire protection, wastewater treatment, water treatment, swimming pool, etc.): Manage progress and quality of design documents; review and approve shop drawings; coordinate with other disciplines (architecture, structure, fire protection, technical infrastructure, and operations unit) to ensure design documents meet quality standards.

Quality Management: Supervise and urge contractors and suppliers to comply with procedures and meet quality requirements regarding construction work, input materials, and equipment installation.

Quantity Management: Measure and take off quantities based on design documents; verify actual construction quantities against contract quantities and design requirements; check and confirm quantities submitted for acceptance by contractors.

Plan Verification: Review testing, inspection, trial operation, monitoring, and measurement plans submitted by contractors.

Method Verification: Review quality control methods for materials, products, components, and equipment used for the project; review construction methods.

Construction Progress Management: Develop detailed construction schedules with cross-discipline coordination; review schedules prepared by contractors; monitor and urge implementation according to approved schedules.

Change Management: Manage design changes, cost changes, construction method changes, material changes, and scope of work changes.

Reporting: Prepare reports on work implementation as required.

Coordination: Work with company departments in bidding processes, contractor capability assessments, finalizing BOQs for tender, and developing technical requirements for each task and material.

Gender: Male

Level:

  • Graduated from Polytechnic University or other technical universities, with majors in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Automation, etc.

  • Preference for candidates with MEP design or supervision certificates (Grade I or II).

  • Fire Protection System Design Certificate is an advantage.

 

Skills and knowledge:

  • t least 7 years of experience in MEP system design and construction management.

  • Proficient in relevant software: BIM, Revit MEP, AutoCAD, PowerPoint, Word, Excel.

  • Strong command of English for MEP work (reports, drawings, documents, etc.).

 

Other requirements and qualities:

  • Proactive and dedicated to the job and the organization.

  • Ability to work under high intensity and pressure, with strong teamwork skills.

  • Good health, willing to go on business trips/assignments when required.

  • Desire for stable, long-term employment.
